Jean-Pierre & Magaret

15.12.2025 | La Cotte Farm | Western Cape

Some couples have a way of making you feel like you've known them for years.

Jean-Pierre and Margaret were those people. We first met at their pre-wedding at La Motte in Franschhoek, and it didn't take long before they felt more like friends than clients. There was an ease between them that made every moment feel natural, and being invited into that space was such a gift.

From the moment I arrived on their wedding day at La Cotte, I was welcomed with open arms by the people they love most. It never felt like I was simply there to photograph the day, I felt like I was invited to celebrate alongside them.

What stayed with me most wasn't just how beautiful everything was, although every detail was thoughtfully considered. It was the way Jean-Pierre and Margaret loved. The quiet glances across the room, the way they reached for one another without thinking, and the deep sense of community that surrounded them. Their family and friends weren't just guests; they were part of the story, celebrating a love that had clearly been nurtured by the people around them.

Days like these remind me that a wedding is never just about two people. It's about every hand that helped shape their journey, every embrace, every shared laugh, and every person who gets to witness the beginning of a new chapter.

It was an absolute privilege to document theirs.
